Sphere App Error: 5 Reasons Your Article Is Not Getting Approved + How To Fix It

Anthony Felicia ·9 Sept 20263 min read

If you’re new on Sphere in Nigeria, you’ve probably felt this frustration.

You spend 2 hours writing an article, you tap Submit for review, then 3 days later: REJECTED.

Or worse, it just stays on Under Review forever.

I’ve been there. My first 2 articles were rejected too. After asking admins and other creators, I found out there are 5 main reasons this happens.

Here’s the full breakdown and how to fix each one so your article gets approved fast.

### 1. Your Article Is Too Short The Problem: Sphere’s minimum is 600 words. If you write 200 to 400 words, the system auto-rejects it.

The Fix: Aim for 600 to 1000 words. But don’t just add nonsense to reach word count. Add examples, steps, and personal experience. Use headings to break it up. Tip: If Google Docs says 600 plus words, you’re safe.

### 2. You’re Writing Diary Articles The Problem: Today I woke up and went to market is not helpful to other people. Sphere rejects articles that have no value to readers.

The Fix: Ask: Will someone search for this on Google? Good topics: How to, How much, Review, Mistakes to avoid, Step by step guide. Example: Instead of My Sphere Experience, write My First Month On Sphere: Earnings and Mistakes I Made.

### 3. Plagiarism or Copied Content The Problem: If you copy from blog, ChatGPT without editing, or another Sphere article, Sphere’s system will flag it.

The Fix: Write in YOUR voice. Use Naija English. Add your own story. If you use AI to help, always rewrite it and add your experience. Sphere can tell.

### 4. Wrong Category or Bad Title The Problem: Title like Hello Everyone or putting a finance article under Lifestyle confuses the reviewers.

The Fix: Title Formula: Number + Problem + Solution or Location or Year Example: 5 Ways To Make Money On Sphere In Nigeria 2026 Category: Match it. Money = Make Money Online. Tech = Technology. Personal story = Lifestyle.

### 5. Grammar, Spacing, and Formatting Errors The Problem: One big block of text with no headings, too many typos, or weird spacing.

The Fix: 1. Use headings to separate sections 2. Leave space between paragraphs 3. Read it out loud before submitting. If it sounds rough to you, it will sound rough to reviewers.

Fix these 5 things and your approval rate will jump to 90 percent.

### Bonus Tip: What To Do While Waiting For Approval Waiting 3 days can be annoying, I know. But don’t waste that time.

Here’s what smart creators do: 1. Start writing your next article. Don’t wait. Batch 2 to 3 articles at once so you’re not stuck 2. Share your published articles. Post your Sphere link on WhatsApp status, Facebook, TikTok. More views equals more money later 3. Study top articles. Go to Sphere homepage and see what articles have 1000 plus views. Copy the style, not the content.

### Final Checklist Before You Submit Before you tap that button, ask yourself: 1. Is it 600 plus words? 2. Did I use at least 3 headings? 3. Did I add my own story or opinion? 4. Did I write for Nigerians specifically?

If you said yes to all 4, submit it.

Remember: Rejection is not failure. My first article was rejected twice. The third time it passed and now it’s my best performing article.

Don’t give up. Article 1 to 10 is the hardest part. After that, payment unlocks.

Which of these 5 mistakes have you made before? Be honest in the comments. Let’s help each other so we all get to 10 articles and start earning. Sphere Nigeria, Content Creator, Make Money Online, Writing Tips, Sphere Rejected
